The Junior League of Las Vegas partnered with Brian and Teri Cram Middle School, Clark County School District’s (CCSD) Community Engagement Department, and Water Smart to refresh the school’s garden space. The project included new flowers and trees, along with a hydroponics kit that will support STEM learning for nearly 1,400 students.

JLLV sponsored the development of a new Communities In Schools resource room at Monaco Middle School, providing essentials for students. Additionally, the partnership provided a full-time site coordinator, directly funded through JLLV. A second resource room at Ann Lynch Middle School was also donated by this initiative.

Throughout the week, members assembled back-to-school baskets for Title I teachers, prepared meals at the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center, and repaired gently used books with Spread the Word Nevada. These projects provided direct support to students and educators during a critical time of year.

As part of Find the Good Day, JLLV donated $15,000 to Shannon West Homeless Youth Center, providing enough food to feed the youth they serve for an entire year. This contribution helps ensure consistent access to nutritious meals for homeless and at-risk youth, supporting their health, stability, and well-being.
